The Log Rack Guide to Outdoor Furnaces
|
Outdoor furnaces offer convenience. A wood burning outdoor furnace can be located close to your home and your wood pile. They offer large fireboxes which can be loaded once or twice a day depending on the outdoor temperature and the desired indoor temperature. You don't have to haul the firewood indoors letting cold air in and bringing in any debris from the logs. Many outdoor furnaces burn coal or oil which can also be located next to your coal pile or a large tank. They offer no smell or smoke indoors and they won't take up any space in your family room. Optional boiler kits allow you to heat your water, your swimming pool, spa or even run hot water pipes for heating your driveway!
